This small section of paintings shows a selection of my work from 2002 to 2006. A period of time in which my interest in the human figure was largely drawn from my unconscious. At time inspired and referencing cultural myths, images from art history or personal symbols. Some of these motifs like the cow for example reappeared in my work for several years. Reflecting back on this work, I see it as feminist in that the narratives seek to expose the oppressing nature of a patriarchal culture and search for a feminine presence.
